The YI remains the minimum license level required to coach in Wisconsin. Participants of Youth Module Certificate Courses are provided with an entire season of lesson plans and activities to take directly to the field. Registered candidates are given access to a self-study manual to be completed before attending a 90 minute in-person field session. Preregistration is required. Both courses are complimentary for WYSA members.

YI Certificate

The YI Certificate is a 3-hour introductory course aimed at coaches working with children 8U and younger. The course exposes coaches to some of the essentials involved in coaching the youngest players. Typical characteristics are briefly discussed as well as a coaching checklist and loads of appropriate activities. It is free of charge with a current WYSA issued pass card.

YII Certificate

The YII Certificate is a 3-hour course. Content overlaps with YI material but emphasizes the 9U-10U recreational player.
