The 2025 Mike Kabanica Scholarship is open.
Each year WYSA grants six scholarships to graduating seniors who portray commitment and excellence in their high school years; each scholarship winner will be awarded $1,000. This scholarship fund is named for Mike Kabanica, a long time WSA president. In order to apply, candidates must be a current year member of WYSA and a graduating high school senior. Three young women and three young men are selected based on their dedication to the sport of soccer, excellence in the classroom, as well as their involvement in community service.
Information for Applicants:
- To be eligible you must be graduating high school in spring 2025 and a WYSA member in 2024-2025.
- Application deadline is March 14, 2025.
- Applications will be prompted to create a PlayMetrics account, you must create an account to apply.
- This scholarship application is to be completed by the applicant, not the parent or guardian of applicant.
- This application will take a substantial amount of time to complete.
- You must upload your transcript while completing the application.
- Letters of recommendation must be uploaded while completing the application.
