With September just around the corner, Wisconsin boasts dozens of Division I, II, and III college teams, both men and women, who have begun their seasons. This is a great time to see some fantastic soccer.
With the link below, you will find the men's and women's soccer schedules for September for the local Division I schools. In addition at the end of the schedules a number of links to athletic sites for Wisconsin colleges have been included.
Presently well over 100 ODP alum are playing college soccer and most are playing here at Wisconsin schools. Not every alum was a state team member, but having that ODP experience gave them the edge they needed to compete at the collegiate level.
For young players, going to a college soccer game is one way to see the level of soccer to which you can aspire. It gives you the opportunity to get close to the action and to see some of the top athletes not just in Wisconsin, but in the country. These players began just as you did playing with their local club teams, competing with ODP, and being members of their high school soccer teams.
As the leaves begin to fall, soccer is blooming. Take advantage of an afternoon or evening game. There's college soccer being played all over Wisconsin, so finding a game nearby should be easy. Although the schedule only includes Division I schools for brevity's sake, fantastic soccer is being played at every level.
