Wisconsin Girls Travel to Portugal
Feb 4, 2010 -This spring Region II Girls ODP teams will travel to Portugal & the Algarve Cup (1993), Holland (1994) and Costa Rica (1995).  Each trip will involve games against professional women's teams as well as youth national teams. Three Wisconsin players have been invited to participate as part of the Region II team. Jacie Jermier (93), Madeline Vicker (93), and Brittany Von Rueden (93) will travel to Portugal to compete. Congratulations, ladies!

Wisconsin Player Travels with US National Team
CHICAGO (Jan. 11, 2009) -- U.S. Under-14 Boy’s National Team head coach Manny Schellscheidt will lead 36 players to Guadalajara, Mexico, from Jan. 17-24 for the team’s only international trip of 2010. The roster is made up exclusively of players born in 1996, an age group that began training with Schellscheidt in November last year, including Wisconsin defender Jack Menard from the Bavarian Soccer Club of Milwaukee.

Returning from the team’s trip to Disney World last fall are 28 players who competed at a U.S. Youth Soccer event. In Guadalajara, Schellscheidt will split the team in two to compete against local youth sides and train every day.

WI ODP Comes to Wisconsin's Southwest District!

In a continuing effort to expand programming throughout the state of Wisconsin, WYSA Olympic Development has plans to offer ODP developmental trainings in La Crosse, Wisconsin beginning in December 2009. For more information, please click here.

IMG Residency Academy Taps ODP Players
In the past, Wisconsin Youth Soccer ODP Players such as Brice Carr, Josh Lambo, Tim Ward, and David Caban, have participated in the IMG Residency Academy in Bradenton, Florida. Wisconsin Players Travel the Globe

US Youth Soccer’s Olympic Development program has taken on an international flavor this year for many Wisconsin participants, with players at many varied age groups traveling to the far reaches of the world to play soccer, make friends, and to learn about new cultures. Continue Story

Everything You Wanted to Know About ODP

Wisconsin Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (ODP) is affiliated with US Youth Soccer and its national Olympic Development Program. The program was established in 1977 to identify players of the highest caliber on a continuing and consistent basis, to achieve increased success for the U.S. National Teams in the international arena. A pool of players is selected from US Youth Soccer’s four regions based on calendar birth years. Read Complete Article

WI Players Identified for Regional & National Soccer Pools

When you watch the United States Women’s and Men’s soccer teams take the pitch in the Olympics or in the World Cup, you might wonder what path led to those players being identified for possible inclusion in those elite groups?
