Course Materials

‘E’ License Course

The ‘E’ License Course consists of 3 components:  Pre-course study and assignments, course material and practical testing. Completion of the pre-course study and assignments 1-3 is required to earn the ‘E’ license. Candidates should access the Candidate Guidebook plus other required materials from the Resources section below. The Guidebook includes information necessary to complete the online and written assignments found in Section 7.


Pre-course Study and Assignments:


Assignment # 1: Team Management

Complete one of the assignments; A, B or C. (The material needed to completed assignments A, B and C are found in the Candidate Guidebook as well as in the US Soccer Curriculum.)

Bring your written work to the course opening.

               

Assignment #2: Laws of the Game

Complete parts A and B.


Part A: Complete Laws 4,8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 using this link:

http://www.ussoccer.com/Referees/Resource-Center/Referee-Resources.aspx.

Click on “Grade 8 Referee Course”. Choose the thumbnail for each of the specified laws. Sign into the guestbook with your name, email address and State Association. The Clinic Number is “E Candidate”. Print and bring all Completion Certificates to the course opening.


Part B: Follow the instructions in the Candidate Guidebook. Bring you written work to the course opening.

 
Assignment #3: Risk Management Online Concussion Education

Complete the Heads Up program at CDC Concussion Education. Bring Completion Certificate to course opening.


You will also prepare two practice coaching sessions based on a specific topics. Topics will be sent via email with your course reminder. Either of the Practice Plan Templates can be used and brought to the course opening. Test practice coaching topics will be handed out on the second day of the course.
