WYSA AGM March 8, 2014
The 2014 Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held Saturday, March 8 at Lambeau Field (1265 Lombardi Ave, Green Bay, WI 54304).
Registration and continental breakfast begin at 8:00am. The meeting will commence at 9:00am with lunch at 11:30am. Educational opportunities are planned throughout the day. The Wisconsin Soccer Hall of Fame (WSHOF) Reception and Dinner will follow beginning at 4:30pm.
Accommodations are available at a discounted rate for Friday March 7 and/or Saturday March 8. The special room rate will be available until February 5 or when the group block is sold-out, whichever comes first. Tundra Lodge & Water Park (877-886-3725) or Springhill Suites (920-569-8500).
Affiliated clubs are asked to assure that the most up to date contact information is on record with the State Office. Please keep in mind, votes of a member club, in “Good Standing” may be cast only by the President of that member Club OR their designee. As Club President, you may assign your vote to an appointed club delegate who will attend the 2014 Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association AGM. Conditions of this assignment are detailed on the proxy form.

Club presidents, board members, coaches, administrators and other volunteers are invited to participate in a series of educational sessions throughout the day. The floor will be open for questions and answers in all sessions. Topics include:
Sports Brain is a Chicago based organization concentrating on the implementation of comprehensive concussion baseline testing and concussion management programs to youth, high school, college, and professional sports organizations. Sports Brain also provides cognitive, mental toughness, and leadership development training to maximize mental performance both on and off the field. Sports Brain staff will present information about concussion management, baseline testing and overall awareness of concussions in youth sports.
WYSA Directors of Coaching Jim Launder and Craig Carlson, Competitions Administrator Patrick Hodgins and Director of Competitions Terry Donini will lead this open forum meeting addressing WYSA coaching education including updates to the USSF ‘E’ and ‘D’ License curriculum, coach license requirements and enforcement of that policy, U10 and under Academy Accreditation, State Leagues, Presidents Cup, State Championships and the 2014/2015 Tryout Policy.
Creating a Club Budget
Ken Ward, Strikers FC President and Wisconsin ODP Director will talk about constructing a club budget, including how to project revenue and expenses. The session will also touch on how the WYSA budget affects your club’s budget.
Branding Your Club
Rich Jensen, President of South Dakota State Soccer Association will lead an informational session on strategic planning for the club, and ways to implement the strategic plan while having a brand to present, consistent with the strategic plan.
Tips and Tricks: Includes tips and tricks for many of the features that are used on a day-to-day basis.
LeagueOne Beyond: A detailed review of recently added features in LeagueOne. Focuses on the Coupon Code process with online registration, the Online Member Directory, and Scheduler updates. Also features an overview of Standard Reports and the job Club Field Schedulers for clubs with State League teams.
LeagueOne Scheduler: Touches on the scheduling process, from creating locations to generating game schedules and recording scores. Highlights useful features that might not have been used during your last game schedules.
The Online Registration Demo: will take clubs through the parent’s online registration process, payment collection and confirmation receipts as well as the added features in the admin side: document tracking, emailing and custom reporting on online registration. The demo will show off the features of L1’s online registration and take a look at what’s new in the software: payment plans, registration set up, admin tools and more.
