2012 MIke Kabanica Scholarship

2012 Kabanica Scholarships

Each year Wisconsin Youth Soccer Association has the honor of awarding $500 Mike Kabanica Scholarships to three boys and three girls who are graduating seniors. The 2012 winners are:

Margaret McNally (Mequon Soccer Club)  intends to pursue pre-Med and possibly specialize in Sports Medicine.

Nicole Poirier (Madison 56ers) will be attending Upper Iowa University and play soccer while studying Physical Therapy.

Devan Schultz (Appleton SC) will pursue degrees in Psychology and Sports Psychology.

Drew Allison (FC Green Bay) will play soccer while he studies Industrial Engineering at UW-Platteville.

Derek Hooyman (Kimberly Area Soccer Association) will study Biology and Spanish at UW-Fox Valley and UW-Eau.

Austin Middleton (Bavarian Soccer Club) plans to study Engineering in college.

The WYSA Kabanica Scholarship is named after the longest serving president in Wisconsin Soccer Association history. This youth scholarship program is a testament to Mike Kabanica’s legacy to the growth and development of soccer in the State of Wisconsin for both youth and adult programs.
