Womens Premier League
WPL 2010 Season League games, with more than 60 minutes of travel time to the opponent’s field, will be played on Sundays at 1:00pm or later. League games, with less than 60 minutes of travel time, will be played on Tuesday or Thursday evenings at 6:30pm.
To further accommodate teams with longer travel times an additional weekend game may be scheduled on Saturday or two games may be played on a Super-Sunday. All teams will play a 6 game league schedule between June 6 and July 18, 2010. (No games will be played on July 3rd or 4th.) Teams are allowed two block-out dates for the season. The Ray Schommer Cup will be held in Madison on July 24-25, 2010. Team Registration forms and fees are due to WYSA on May 1st, 2010. Team managers please note that all WPL player registration will be handled through the League One registration software. Managers will need to contact either their club or district registrar in April or May of 2010 to set up WPL player registrations for your team. Do not send paper player registration forms to the WYSA office. All registration will be handled within your own club or district through League One, just like a U18 Girls team. Please contact Julie Schmitt or Jenny Anthes at WYSA with any WPL player registration questions.

2009 WPL Ray Schommer Cup Champion – FV Power of Appleton
FV Power was undefeated in group play on Saturday and Sunday at the Ray Schommer Cup. They earned 18 points out of a maximum of 21 in those three games. The three wins placed FV Power into first place and versus the second place Croatian Eagles (2-1-0 in group play) for the Championship Game. The Croatian Eagles were the WPL South Region Champion for 2009 and brought a competitive roster to the Ray Schommer Cup. The championship game between FV Power and the Croatian Eagles saw the lead change hands multiple times, ending in a 3-2 victory for Power. FV Power was coached by Marshall Gorwitz.
WSC Majors of Milwaukee earned the third place trophy at the Ray Schommer Cup with a penalty kick victory over the Bulldogs FC of Fond du Lac. The game score was 2-2 with WSC Majors outshooting the Bulldogs 3-0 in penalty kicks. All games were played on July 18-19, 2009, at USA Soccer Complex, Appleton, WI.
